Driving Directions to the Yakima Valley Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail
Directions from Seattle,
Ellensburg, Yakima, and points west:
- From Seattle, take I-90 east over Snoqualmie Pass to Ellensburg
- At Ellensburg, take I-82 east (really south) toward Yakima (This is
milepost 0)
- From Yakima continue east (now kind of southeast) on I-82.

The Wine Trail can be accessed from Exit 44 to
Exit 63. Remember, Exit numbers are mile posts from the beginning of I-82
in Ellensburg.
From Richland, Pasco, Kennewick and points east:
- From the Tri-Cities, take I-182 to I-82.
- Right exit to Yakima and Seattle
- The Wine Trail can be accessed from Exit
63 to Exit 44. Remember, Exit
numbers are mile posts from the beginning of I-82 in Ellensburg.
From Portland and Biggs Junction, Oregon;
Toppenish, WA and
points south:
- Proceed east from Portland on I-84 to Biggs Junction, OR. (US 97)
- Right exit to the stop sign (US 97)
- Turn left across the Columbia River on US 97 to Goldendale
and Yakima, WA
- Proceed about 60 miles to Toppenish, WA to the stop light. (Highway
22/Highway 97)
- At the light, proceed straight into Toppenish on Elm Street, past second
light, across railroad tracks and out of town (now Buena Way), across the
Yakima River, to I-82. You are now at Exit 50 of I-82. The Wine Trail can be
accessed from Exit 44 to
Exit 63. Remember, Exit numbers are mile posts from the beginning of I-82
in Ellensburg.
From Spokane, WA and Northern Idaho:
- Either go to Ellensburg on I-90 or go to Pasco on US 395.
Follow directions from there.
